We believe that good attendance is the key to good learning outcomes.
We do not authorise term-time holidays unless the circumstances are exceptional. Each case is decided on its own merits, by the Head of School, without reference to decisions made in relation to other children or families.
As part of our Attendance Policy, we identify children whose attendance is a cause of concern or celebration.
In the event that a child’s attendance is a cause for ongoing concern, letters are sent to parents to alert them, and support is offered to try to identify and remove any potential barriers to attendance.
We also have several ways to celebrate good attendance!
The children at HPS have told us why they think school attendance is important. We all know that children who are in school on time each day have better educational outcomes than those who miss school days. Thank you for your ongoing support with attendance at HPS.
