Early Years Reception Photo Gallery 2023/24
Our Bug Hotel
The children have had a great time developing our Bug hotel in our outside area. They are already looking for a variety of bugs to come and keep warm during the wet weather. They have used binoculars and magnifying glasses to look closely and find out about the bugs we have around us.
Learning about autumn
This week, Reception have been learning about autumn. On Monday, we went on a walk around the school grounds to look for signs of autumn and we noticed that some of the leaves on the trees were starting to change colour. The children have enjoyed sketching and labelling autumn objects and have done some lovely finger paintings of autumn trees.
Bug Hotels
On Wednesday 20th September, nursery parents joined the children to create bug hotels for the nursery garden.
Reception Museum Trip
Reception had a lovely trip to Tiverton Museum. The children were very well behaved and enjoyed seeing all the different parts of the museum. The highlight was seeing and being able to go on to the Tivvy Bumper. We saw a variety of different types of transport including a horse drawn fire engine and carts, a mini and lots of different bicycles including a Penny Farthing.
