To celebrate Remembrance this year, all of the children made poppies to go on the display at the Pannier Market. Some of the children then attended the opening of the market, where all the poppies had been put up.

Children in Need Countryfile Ramble
On Monday 22nd October a group of Heathcoat Primary staff walked 10 miles along Tiverton Canal on a Countryfile Ramble, raising money for Children in Need. It was a lovely, sunny day and we all enjoyed getting outdoors and raising funds for an important charity.
If anyone would like to donate towards Children in Need please contact the school office, or click here.
First Prize for produce
Three of our Year 4 children attended the Tiverton in Bloom presentation evening last week, celebrating the school being awarded First Prize in the School Produce Garden category. We also achieved a Level 4 ‘It’s your Neighbourhood’ award. Well done to everyone involved – a brilliant achievement!
Fundraising for CHAT
Now that the festive period is over, we are reflecting back on the amazing generosity shown by our children in the run up to Christmas. Our Year 6 children raised £50.39 for CHAT by singing carols in Tesco. A huge thank you also to Billy Short and Niara Tout for their kind donations. Billy organised a collection of essential food and Festive Treats at school and Niara saved up her pocket money to purchase books for the children of the families we are helping. Well done to everyone who was involved in the fundraising, we are so proud of you all.
